How Do You Compare Maintenance Contractor Quotes?
Compare the same written scope first, then the total price, what is excluded, the emergency response time, hourly and after-hours rates, the markup on parts, the contract length and renewal terms, and the warranty. Confirm the license and insurance of the one you pick. The lowest total is not the best value if its scope is smaller.

How many quotes should you get?
Two or three quotes are usually enough to see the normal price range and spot missing items. Give each contractor the same scope and ask the same questions so the answers are comparable.
